The CaChET 2026–2027 Buwan ng Wika Celebration culminated in a remarkable showcase of Filipino talent, creativity, and cultural pride as students from various regions of the country gathered in celebration of the Filipino language and heritage. Anchored on the theme “Ipagpatuloy ang Pagmamahal sa Sariling Wika” and “Ang Wika at Kulturang Pilipino: AKO…”, the event provided learners with a meaningful platform to express themselves through literature, music, speech, and the performing arts while strengthening their appreciation of Filipino identity.

This year's competition attracted an impressive 87 participating schools, consisting of 42 Grade Schools, 28 Junior High Schools, and 17 Senior High Schools from CALABARZON, the National Capital Region (NCR), and Cagayan de Oro. Through rigorous elimination and semi-final rounds, students demonstrated exceptional skills, passion, and dedication in various categories that celebrated the richness of Filipino language and culture.

The Finals Competition, held on August 29, 2026, featured the Top 5 finalists from each category competing for top honors. The event highlighted outstanding performances in Katutubong Sayaw, Sanaysay, Kwento ng Sariling Buhay, Awiting OPM, Maikling Tula, Maikling Kuwento, and Impromptu Speaking, showcasing the creativity and excellence of Filipino youth.

Following the successful conduct of the finals, the official ranking winners were announced on September 12, 2026, recognizing schools and students who best exemplified excellence in language, literature, communication, and the arts.

In the Grade School Division, National Housing Corporation Elementary School of Caloocan City emerged as Champion in the Kwento ng Sariling Buhay category, while Tala Elementary School of Caloocan City topped the Sanaysay competition. In Katutubong Sayaw, Congress Elementary School of Caloocan City captured the championship title through an impressive performance that celebrated the beauty of Filipino folk traditions.

The Junior High School Division likewise showcased remarkable talent. Bagong Silang High School of Caloocan City earned the championship title in Awiting OPM, demonstrating excellence in musical performance. In Maikling Tula, Noveleta National High School of Cavite Province emerged as champion, while Lakandula High School of Manila claimed the top spot in Katutubong Sayaw, impressing judges with a vibrant cultural presentation.

Meanwhile, the Senior High School Division highlighted students’ advanced skills in communication and literary expression. Upland Integrated National High School of Laguna Province emerged as Champion in Impromptu Speaking, while Calamba City School for the Arts secured first place in Maikling Kuwento. In Katutubong Sayaw, Bulihan Integrated National High School of Cavite Province was declared Champion after delivering an exceptional performance that reflected the richness and diversity of Filipino culture.

More than a competition, the CaChET 2026–2027 Buwan ng Wika Celebration served as a testament to the enduring importance of the Filipino language as a vessel of culture, history, and national identity. The event not only highlighted the talents of young Filipinos but also reinforced the collective responsibility of every generation to preserve and promote the nation's linguistic and cultural heritage.
